VOLUNTEERS have been at the heart, and indeed are the "heart"
of the Red Cross since the earliest days when Clara Barton founded the American
Red Cross, with the specific mission of helping others in dire need.
These volunteers, just as the many Red Cross volunteers throughout Southeastern Connecticut, are indeed special, and graciously give of themselves to help others. |
