Sandwiched in between weeks
of cold, damp spring weather and an early June tropical
heat wave, the Milford Chapter’s 12th
Annual Red Cross Golf Classic took place on a
perfect golfing day – blue skies and comfortably warm
with a slight breeze.
Our
golfers arrived at Orange Hills bright and early on
Monday, June 2 to get their wake-up juice, coffee and
breakfast before teeing off for 18 holes of golf.
Snacks, fruit and plenty of liquids kept everyone going
until it was time to head to Aldario’s Restaurant for
the raw bar, the plentiful buffet spread, the awards
luncheon and raffle drawings which included prizes of
rounds of golf, dinners, overnights, theater tickets and
much more.

Since our first tournament
in 1997, the Golf Classic has netted over $206,000
to help fund the programs and services the Milford
Chapter provides. Thanks to our golfers and many
sponsors, this year’s event cleared an additional
$19,000. Our special thanks to THE
Milford Bank who has supported our tournament every
year and was our Event Sponsor again this year. Mark
your calendars for next year’s event - as always - on
the first Monday in June!
