Can I give blood? If you are in generally good health, are 17 or older and weigh 110 pounds or more.
Where does my blood go? All blood collected by the American Red Cross in Connecticut goes to the community blood supply, maintained by the American Red Cross Blood Services, Connecticut Region, for the benefit of anyone in need of blood or blood products at the state's 31 transfusing hospitals.
