Youth Services
The Greenwich Chapter believes that youth and young adult volunteers are a valuable part of this organization and encourages them to lend their talents and skills to Red Cross services.  Currently, youth and young adults up to age 24 make up 40% of all Red Cross volunteers.

The American Red Cross is committed to developing youth involvement so that young people may better serve their community and become the leaders of tomorrow.

Last year…

  • The Safe Rides program provided 1,634 safe rides home.
  • 142 individuals were educated about Youth Services, Safe Rides and substance abuse prevention.
  • 28 youth participated in leadership development training through the KEYS program.
  • Elementary school children sent 25 Friendship Boxes (now School Chests) of small toiletries, toys and school supplies to children in war torn areas overseas.
And this is only the beginning…find out what you can do to support Red Cross services in the local community.  Call 203.869.8444 or email [email protected]
