FAMILY CARE GIVING
If you're caring for a loved one who has suffered an illness or injury, you deserve a helping hand.
Caring for a parent, spouse of friend at home means your life is a balancing act.
You want to provide the best care possible, which can be a full-time job in itself.
But if you're like many caregivers, you have many other commitments, including a job and a family.
Family Caregiving offers you a helping hand by providing a variety of information-packed sessions -- right here
in Greenwich -- covering topics that can help you provide better care, including bathing, home safety and
nutrition, as well as legal and financial issues. There is even a session that helps you take care of yourself!
Topics include:
- Assisting with Personal Care
- Positioning and Helping Your Loved One Move
- General Caregiving Skills
- Home Safety
- Healthy Eating
- Caring for a Loved One with Alzheimer's Disease or Dementia
- Caring for a Loved One with HIV/AIDS
- Legal and Financial Issues
- Caring for the Caregiver
This is a modular program design that allows you to decide which courses meet your specific needs. Because each module covers just one topic, they can be taken in any order. Family Caregiving is an affordable way to learn. You pay only for those sessions you attend.
Class participants meet others in similar caregiving situations. This allows you to develop relationships with other caregivers, helping you to eliminate feelings of isolation or frustration.
Fee: $15/session or $25 for 2 sessions
