The October Volunteer of the Month Award is presented to a volunteer who supports the Red Cross through administrative assistance. This year’s recipient was considered a full-time staff member through the summer, completing any task that was put forth to her. She answered phones and greeted visitors with enthusiasm. She entered computer data and helped to carry out historical projects that increased the protection of our aging records. Her spirit and good nature were evident whenever she was in the office. She has since joined the chapter’s Youth Council and will continue her Red Cross service in the future.
