The American Red Cross is ready, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to come to the aid of disaster victims around the corner, across the country and around the world. The disaster assistance the Red Cross provides is free, made possible by voluntary donations of time and money from the American people. It is not a loan, it is an outright gift. That is why one of the best ways to help neighbors right now is through a financial donation.
Donate to your local Chapter
A donation to the Connecticut Chapter will help people in need in our local communities. Each year, the Red Cross responds to an average of 500 local disasters in Connecticut, including fires, flooding, hazardous material spills, and storm-related incidents. That's three to four responses each week. We spend an average of $950 on each incident. Your contribution to the Connecticut Chapter will help us to provide such services as temporary housing, food, clothing, medicine replacement, and physical and mental health assistance to local families whose lives are turned upside down by disaster.
Donate to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund or the International Response Fund
The American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund helps disaster victims across the nation and the American Red Cross International Response Fund helps people affected by international crises.
Donations to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund or International Response Fund enable the Red Cross to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need across the country or around the world. Call 1-877-287-3327 to donate by phone or to learn more.
