American Red Cross Helping Five Families After Fire in Bridgeport

The American Red Cross is assisting 11 people – six adults and five children – from five families after they were displaced by a fire on Newfield Street in Bridgeport earlier today. The Red Cross is providing temporary lodging and financial assistance for emergency clothing and food needs.
American Red Cross disaster assistance is free of charge, a gift made possible by generous donations and the work of volunteers.
