Automated External Defibrillators Save Lives!
The American Red Cross, a national leader in training responders to use Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), is actively involved in increasing public awareness and helping organizations and individuals implement AED programs.
The Connecticut Regional Chapter of the American Red Cross has agreements with Philips Medical Systems, ZOLL Medical and Cardiac Science which allow us to facilitate the purchase of AEDs. For more information on the Philips Heartstart FRx or On-Site AEDs, ZOLL Medical's AED PLus unit or Cardiac Science's POWERHEART G3 Plus AED or to arrange for a live demonstration of the units, please contact the Chapter's Manager of Business Development, Joe Kuzma, at (860) 678-2826 or email him at kuzmajoe@usa.redcross.org.

Some Information on AEDs Available Through the Red Cross:
HeartStart OnSite AED
The Heartstart Defibrillator was designed for the ordinary person in the extraordinary moment. Weighing just 3.3 pounds, this small and lightweight defibrillator can be easily carried to the patient's side. Using clear, natural voice instructions, the Heartstart Defibrillator guides you, the first caregiver on the scene, through each step of defibrillation and CPR.
ZOLL AED Plus
ZOLL's AED Plus is the only AED that can see your chest compressions and guide you to the correct rate and depth during CPR. No other AED provides Real CPR Help.
Cardiac Science POWERHEART AED G3 Plus
Cardiac Science's flagship automated external defibrillator, complete with RescueCoach and CPR metronome to pace chest compressions.
